Content that is educational and inspirational provides your customers with something of value and is the foundation of a relationship based on trust and appreciation. So think about who your audience is and what kind of questions that they will be asking online (that you can help solve). From there, weave in how your product or service can help them.

  1. Make a list and set a schedule

Create a storyboard of the things that you actually talk to your clients about. Again, you’ll find it’s less about you and more about what your product or service can help them do. Once you have a list, you can start planning a blog schedule. The release frequency of new blog posts differs from industry to industry and business to business. Try blogging once a week to start off. After a few weeks, try bumping it up to two posts per week. Check in regularly to see if your engagement/enquiry rate improves from more frequent blogging.

  1. Be clear and concise

Stay on topic, if your content is repetitive or long-winded, you’ll lose your audience’s attention. Start by noting down the main points you want your article to cover and then flesh it out.

Take 15 minutes every day to read relevant industry blog and news content. Create a “Blog Ideas” folder in your bookmarks bar and when you come across an article that inspires you, that you think would inspire your audience, save it for future reference.
