1. Am I locked into a Google AdWords contract?
Our minimum sign up period starts at 1 month. However, you need to provide us with 1 calendar month’s notice, should you wish to terminate your contract.
2. Can’t I contact Google directly for my advertising? Why Yellow?
Google can provide very basic assistance when setting up your AdWords account and they do not offer ongoing management services. They generally advise you to contact a Premier Partner (Yellow included) to assist with this process. You can view Yellow’s profile in the Google Partners Portal here.
3. Does Yellow charge me anything for Google AdWords?
Yellow’s initial setup of the campaign, tracking and the ongoing management/optimisation are covered within your package, so there is no additional charge. View our rate card here to see how much of your package is management fee and how much we pay Google for ads.
We also provide you with a report every month, showing how much Yellow has spent with Google on your behalf and what results that spend has generated.
4. How can I stop my direct debit?
Yellow will cancel your authority at any time, but you must notify us at least two working days prior to the payment date to ensure it takes effect in time. Please be aware that some of our payment terms are dependent on a recurring payment being in place, so cancelling your authority may mean we remove these terms. If you wish to cancel your direct debit, please contact us at email@example.com, and ensure you quote your account number. Alternatively, you can contact your bank, but then it will be more difficult for you to re-instate the authority in the future; so we do recommend contacting us first.
5. How do I know if these are good results?
The results you achieve from your Yellow products will depend greatly on a range of factors including which product you have, which industry and region you are in and how your customers search for you. 6. How do I stay on the top of search results all the time?
Having enough budget to compete is just one factor, however, there is no way to guarantee the top position all the time and Google requires its partners not to guarantee this. You can read more about Google’s requirements in their disclosure notice here.
In some cases, the cost to be at the top may prevent your ad from showing in all searches because you run out of budget. If you would like to know more about how Google ranks your ads in search, just talk to one of our experts.
7. How will I know when and how much will be deducted?
Each customer receives a monthly statement/invoice, advising the due date and amount owing. Alternatively, in some circumstances we may notify you in writing, including by email, of an amount to be deducted.
8. My business details have changed, how do I update them?
Sure thing. The best time to update these details is when the advertising is coming up for renewal which happens annually.
It is at this time you will be provided with a copy of how your ad looks and an opportunity to make any changes.

9. Register for a My Yellow account?
To register with Yellow simply head to yellow.co.nz and click on the Sign in arrow at the top right corner then scroll down to the Register button at the bottom which takes you through to the registration form. Simply complete all the fields and hit the register button or you can register using your Facebook or Google + details. You will be sent an email with a verification link. Simply click on the link and you have verified your email address and your My Yellow account is all ready to go.
